Reinforced concrete frame and part of the facade of a commercial building
The building is a one storey commercial building, which is used for public venues, e.g. shops, restaurants, stores. The frame of the building is of reinforced concrete and a portion of the outer walls is made out of composite concrete and insulation and a portion out of glass panels. Since the facade of the building will be torn down the model only needs to have the reinforced concrete frame. The concrete outer walls were also added in order to be used to calculate the amount of time it would take for them to be demolished and the amount of waste they will produce. After the frame and the portions of the facade were done, suggestions for future additions in the building were made. The suggestions include an example steel frame for the extra floor and side staircases.
