Tekla Campus wins the 2016 RISE Awards. The second ever RISE awards was hosted by the Leeds Sustainability Institute at Leeds Beckett University. The RISE Awards promote and reward the talented groups and individuals who are shaping the future of our industry through extensive Research, Innovation, Sustainability and Enterprise.

This year, Trimble submitted a poster addressing the skills gap within the construction industry. The poster presents the changing paradigms occuring in the industry and how students can access the free resources available to them to gain a competitive advantage. With the launch of Level 2 BIM within the UK, which mandates BIM on all government based construction, it is a necessity that the students of today graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to continue this growth. Collaboration between academia and industry is essential to successfully prepare the future construction professionals of tomorrow.

At Trimble, we have recognized this skill shortage and are committed to helping the industry. To avoid any barriers we have created an online platform giving students access to Tekla Structures, a state of the art BIM software solution, as well as industry specific tutorials. By preparing students with industry knowledge related to construction management, structural engineering, cost estimating, and detailing, and giving them free access to the software used in the industry, Tekla Campus creates a platform where students can jumpstart their career. This platform also gives students a community where they can promote their skills, share knowledge with their peers, and gain valuable insight from industry experts.

Make sure to be part of this changing industry. Register and download your personal learning edition of Tekla Structures BIM software at Tekla Campus.
