Grout for concrete coloumns
08.04.2014 13:51

I am currently working on a very frustrating project and some of the tasks are really challenging. I couldn't find answer on tekla User Assistant. I wanna ask my questions here, could you please be so kind and answer them? By this way your other users will benefit from it. Many thanks in advance.

At first stage I ask only two questions:

1. How can I add a vertical reference model? Building plans are usually horizontal, like floor and foundation plans and user can insert them easily as reference model. But, how can I add a vertical reference model? That is, I have section of my building and should add it perpendicular to my plan. How can I do that?

2. All the guides for grouting on UA are for steel columns. But, how can I add grout between stump and precast concrete column (over stump and under column)? then, how can I add grout inside the precast column as tube? That is, there are some bars inside that column and I wanna cover a grout tube around them.

I´m sure this topic will be so useful for other applicants as well. If you be so kind and answer my questions, I´ll continue it with good questions.

Patiently looking forward your reply,
Thanks

Insert the Ref. model as you nbormally would, then use the "move rotate" command to get it in the plane you would like. SImple as that.

You can insert ref. model how ever you want, just set up work plane for you suitable direction or angle before. Tekla inserts ref. model on working plane.
