Tekla Campus is a Tekla website for downloading the free educational student configuration, Tekla Structures Learning, and learning the basics of the software.
You need a Trimble Identity and log in to Tekla Campus in order to download Tekla Structures Learning. You can create a Trimble Identity by following the link on the home page. To initiate the download, navigate to Tekla Campus >> Download, fill in your role and organization, read and accept the usage terms and finally click the download link.
You can find installation instructions on a video from the download page.
If you have any problems while downloading or installing, please refer to this post.
In Tekla Campus >> Learn you can find our collection of learning materials. The materials are divided into lessons, which include a tutorial video and practices to support learning the basics of Tekla Structures. After learning the lesson, you can take tests to prove your skills.
You can view all the available lessons and their contents in the Lesson Plan. The Lesson Plan also shows your learning progress and provides guidance on the suggested order of taking the lessons.
Your learning progress will be recorded only when you are logged in. Remember to register to Tekla Campus in order to enable the practices and tests.
The tutorial video includes the main learning content of the lesson. The video will guide you through the subject of the lesson.
The practices are non-scored exercises, with which you can revisit the contents of the video and rehearse for the tests.
The tests are scored exercises that measure your learning and determine if you have passed the lesson. If the questions seem difficult, you can open hints to help you find the answer with a small tradeoff of the final score.
You complete the lesson once you pass all the tests in that lesson.
The badges are the proof of your achievements in Tekla Campus. They are rewarded for example upon completing lessons, gaining potential and ranking on the Tekla BIM Awards Student Category.
You can view all the available badges on the badge page. The badges you have already gained are marked with a tick.
Some badges are only available for a certain time, and after that will only show if you have gained the badge. An example of these badges are the ones rewarded for ranking in the Tekla BIM Awards as each year’s badges are unique. This is also the case with the Early Bird badge, rewarded only during the first four months of the renewed Tekla Campus.
Potential comes with positive reputation at Tekla Campus. You can view your potential on your profile page.
There are two ways to gain potential at Tekla Campus:
Inviting a friend to join Tekla Campus will reward you one potential per friend registered.
- On the discussion forums, each forum post can be upvoted by users other than the poster. Each upvote will reward one potential to the poster.
In your profile page you can find a button for inviting a friend. This button leads you to the invite form, where you enter the e-mail address of your friend and possibly attach a personalized message. This e-mail will include the link, which will lead your friend to registration for Tekla Campus. When your friend registers to Tekla Campus, you will gain one potential.
Your portfolio is where you showcase your skills with Tekla Structures. You can upload a snapshot of your model and add a title and a description to it. If you want to share the whole model file package, you can attach a link from which others can download the model.
