Hi!
I am a worker in COSAPI and we have some professional licenses.I saw how the program works and now I want to learn more about the program so I would like to install the learning version in my work computer.
I want to know if there will be any problem about using learning licences in a company that has professionas licences.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Enrique, thank you for contacting us. You can use Tekla Structures Learning for learning purposes. Please note the following:

I hope replying to this old conversation gets noticed, because I'd really like to learn the answer before I waste my time and or mess up a project.
Am I to understand that a model created in TSL will not open in a commercial TS installation? I am taking a class that uses TSL 2017 so I can't use the 2017i license downloadable from Tekla Campus. Also, the schools lab hours are not open much past when I get off work, so my options for using a valid installation are pretty limited. One of my co-workers pointed out that our workstations have 2017 installed on them, so maybe I could get some school work done at the office after normal business hours. Is that not an option? If not, is it possible to get a TSL 2017 license for home use so I don't invalidate any models I create while at school by updating them to the newer version of TSL?
Hello Cory, thank you for contacting us.
You've understood the limitations correctly. You can't open a TSL model with commercial Tekla Structures. And on the other hand you can't open a TSL 2017i model with TSL 2017.
That doesn't leave us many options, as we are no longer delivering Tekla Structures Learning 2017. As far as I can see, the only option would be to be in touch with the school and try to convince them to upgrade to TSL 2017i. You could also take the issue up with the professor and try to work out some kind of solution.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
